This is a tool that can compress the PDF file sizes.
With this tool, you could compress the PDF files created from scanned pages. The scanned images are compressed, and thus the PDF file size is reduced. PDF has become the standard for exchange of business communications. Thus, you may need to transmit large files at times. Large files are a problem many a time, and this tool helps by compressing such big files. You can choose the compression size. Usually, the compression is a trade-off with quality of the document. The tool is simple to use, and most users should be able to learn to use this very easily. It also offers a batch interface and creating a list of files to be processed at once is quite easy. There is a progress bar that lets you see the progress quite easily.
If you would like to preserve the originals, the converted files could be saved in an independent folder. Password-protected files could be handled too. This is standalone software and does not need the support of any other third-party software not even the Adobe reader. Resolution in terms of DPI can be selected by the user. The compression level is selected very easily through a slider control. Creating PDF documents out of existing printed documents have to depend on scanning the pages. Archiving these, depending on the volume of these documents, would require a large storage. Compressing the documents could be one simple way of optimizing the storage. This is a good tool.
